I love bringing something sweet and bite-sized to parties, and there are times when chocolate chip cookies simply will not do. At a recent Christmas party, I brought a platter of bourbon blondies. They matched the whiskey-drinkers’ cocktails and were the perfect size for a quick bite.

Blondies are not traditionally soused with bourbon, and I was surprised by how much aroma and flavor was retained from the whiskey. Please keep in mind that while some alcohol cooks out, not all of it does—so don’t serve this to pregnant ladies, kids, or pets. Bourbon blondies are strictly for the adult set. For some extra fun, you could mix up a matching drink for your friends. Bourbon on the rocks with some bourbon blondies, perhaps?
